SALYP SOLUTIONS FOR WEEE & ELV RECYCLING
The recycling of the various materials recovered from end-of-life vehicles, obsolete electronic equipment, etc is only effective when it occurs during or after a shredding process. Salyp's technology allows the mechanical process of sorting plastics, foam, metal, etc from shredder residues. Salyp's technology is consequently the only technology providing an answer to expensive manual dismantling issues, while remaining inexpensive in view of today's disposal costs.
Salyp systems for post consumer scrap recovery consist of a state of the art and patent-protected equipment developed by scientists and engineers over the past years in the United States, Germany, Austria, ... Salyp's team added its own inventions and combined the various machines into simple mechanical sorting lines (modules) especially adapted to particular recycling needs. The modules offer the customer a choice between an elementary and a sophisticated sorting of materials. They can be easily adapted to after market demands for the recovered resources.
The various modules for all types of shredder residues are: The core of Salyp's technology is the Salyp's Aquila, a Salyp's invention, which turns the "fluffy" shredder residues mixtures into surprisingly easy to handle mixtures of plastics and metals (fabrics are removed). Salyp's Aquila delivers high volumes of low-cost quality plastics and rubber chips in addition to valuable fractions of (precious) metal. Salyp's Aquila makes any manual dismantling outdated...
The Salyp SYSTEM A for light shredder fluff
The combination of Salyp's Hercules, Volantis, Aquila, Tucana, Orion with other metal removing equipment enables the customer to take out metal, plastics and foam from (auto) shredder residues ("ASR") and to reduce the volume and weight of the residues by 25 to 30%. This technology alone offers already sufficient recycling performance to meet the ELV recycling targets for 2006.Additional recycling and purification of material streams are already available since the foam can be washed (Aquarius), the plastics can be sorted by plastics family (Pavo, Dorado). All ferrous and non ferrous metals can be recovered from the fines and the fabrics(Gemini). The plastics can be turned pvc-free (Perseus). All of these processes are offering an attractive financial incentive in view of today's disposal costs.
The Salyp WEEE SYSTEM A for mixed electronic scrap
The most complex mixture of computers scrap can be easily processed thanks to the combined action of the Aquila, the Tucana and the Orion. Valuable streams of printed circuit boards, copper rich and pure plastics are sorted. The Dorado is offered as an option to sort the plastics further into various plastics families.
The Salyp SYSTEM A for heavy media ASR
Shredder companies and/or heavy media plants produce shredder residues full of heavy pieces of rubber, wood and plastics. They are called heavy media ASR. Salyp's system A for heavy media ASR consists of the Hercules, Aquila, Tucana and Orion and offers the customers the opportunity to recover streams of rubber sorted from plastics.
